Hi! I’m Tiff, a simple laidback cyborg from the swag lil’ town of Palmdale California, here on this rad planet living on life support with multiple chronic illnesses, and as of this year now on home-hospice as well. I love collectibles, LEGO’s, doll art, Funko pops, fun quizzes, audio-books, and movies. Some of my other interests include history, quantum physics, conspiracy theories, the paranormal, ancient Egypt, Marvel Comics, Harry Potter and Star Wars!
I was first diagnosed with cancer when I was fourteen years old, and since then it’s been a long journey spanning half my life, over a decade of chronic illnesses, triumphs, set backs, constant excruciating pain, and new diagnoses including an aggressive neuromuscular disorder that slowly ceased my ability to walk, talk, and even eat solid foods. My body has changed a lot over the last fifteen years, having taken fifteen surgeries, dozens upon dozens of procedures and developing new degenerative progressive conditions. With each new challenge, sure, I have become more debilitated on the outside, but on the inside, I am becoming more and more free, like a butterfly fresh outta that cocoon.
I’m finally at a place of peace in my life where I can happily embrace my body and all its wonkiness, as well as release the old shame associated with my disabilities and break down all that internalized ableism. There is beauty in my body and beauty all around me. It‘s been my dream to create a website that would be a safe place for other disabled and chronically ill individuals to gain acceptance and peace with their own bodies and their lives in whole. As well as share tips of adaptations, accommodations, and equipment that have made my life a lil more accessible. We shouldn’t have to be ashamed of our differences, and I want to show the world that our lives as disabled individuals, and our bodies as chronically ill folks are absolutely worth celebrating. I’m here to share my story, a narrative that I feel is very rarely seen, and show the world that we do exist, we can indeed love ourselves, and we are still proud of the rad lives we are living!
There's lots to see here, so feel free to hangout, take your time and look around as we explore topics of disability, chronic illness, body positivity, accessibility, and inclusion! Then make sure to drop me a line, I’d love to hear your story! Stay you and shine on boos!
